ADM Donates $15,000 to Gateway Area Chapter

(Jim Woll, ADM Clinton Corn Plant Manager, and John Morrison, ADM Clinton PHA Plant Manager, present donation to Amber Wood, Executive Director, board members, & staff at Gateway Area Chapter of the American Red Cross.)
The $15,000 donation to the Gateway Area is part of a $300,000 donation ADM is making to the American Red Cross to help keep ADM communities safe and help people in need all around the world. ADM’s donation includes $125,000 to local American Red Cross chapters in ADM communities, $100,000 to the American Red Cross International Response Fund and $75,000 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.

Thomson Shelter Update

The American Red Cross will be putting their shelter in Thomson, Illinois on standby. The Red Cross is prepared to reopen the shelter if there is a need. Assistance remains available for individuals who have been affected by flooding. Those needing assistance can contact the American Red Cross in Clinton, Iowa at (563) 242-5223 or in Freeport at (815) 233-0011. The shelters will remain open in Freeport, Illinois.

Community Sendoff Ceremonies Planned for the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division

Monday, August 2 from 2pm – 3pm in Clinton at the Iowa National Guard Armory, 1200 13th Avenue N. Again, we will have some volunteer opportunities prior to the day as well as the day of the event. Following the sendoff ceremony, the Soldiers will report to their mobilization station at Camp Shelby, Miss. for additional training and preparation before departing for Afghanistan. We look forward to seeing you all there!
