From 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, April 9, 2010, Ashford University & Iowa Hospice Present Gateway Red Cross Luau 2010 at the Wild Rose Casino & Resort in Clinton. Tickets are just $25 in advance or $30 at the door. Sponsorships are still available.
The recent number of fires in the Gateway Area – 8 fires in just under 8 weeks of 2010 – is just one good reason to support this event. Funds raised from this event help the Gateway Area Chapter of the American Red Cross carry out its mission to provide relief to victims of disaster and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.

2010 Annual Meeting and Volunteer Appreciation Dinner

The Gateway Area Chapter of the American Red Cross will hold its Annual Meeting at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 19, 2010 at Springbrook Country Club, DeWitt. The Annual Meeting will include the elections of officers and board members and the recognition of special friends of the Red Cross. The public is invited. Click here for details.
Culver’s Day of Giving

Culver’s and the American Red Cross each share passion for local communities. We believe this provides a strong foundation to continue building upon our national partnership on a local level. For the past four years, local Culver’s stores have supported the Red Cross through a “Day of Giving” where 10% of the days sales benefit the American Red Cross. It takes friends and neighbors working together and a community that cares to make things better. That’s been a part of Culver’s homespun values for more than twenty years. Culver’s restaurants, owners and team members have a year-round impact on the Red Cross. Many restaurants provide Disaster Action Team assistance; several team members volunteer their time, blood and money.
Special thanks to the Clinton Culver’s staff, patrons, and the Clinton community for supporting the effort again this year. Thanks to this support, $573.84 was raised to support the Red Cross mission right here in Clinton County, Iowa!
