A New Member of the Family

On September 8, 2009, Heather Keyt joined the Gateway Area Chapter of the American Red Cross as a VISTA AmeriCorps member in Disaster Volunteer Services. This new position exists in partnership with other chapter staff and volunteers. She has 4 years of teaching experience, plus 900 hours as an AmeriCorps member and Program Coordinator for Big Brothers Big Sisters. As a teacher, she also worked to develop and monitor Zoology Teams for classroom animal care.

Clinton County DAT Team Responds

On September 1, 2009 the Clinton County DAT team responded to a residential house fire. The Red Cross assisted the family with temporary shelter.
