Task-based Volunteering:
Sometimes we need a task of a few hours to be completed, instead of a permanent or semi-permanent position. We have found that these tasks generally fall into one of the following categories:
- call (list or follow-up)
- use social media
- enter data (any speed)
- edit
- be creative (art & authoring)
- distribute (posters, brochures, etc.)
- fundraise
- take photos or video
- sort and/or file (maps, documents, etc.)
- do repetitive activities (stickers, stamping, mailings, etc.)
- be social (greeter, activities, etc.)
- present on Red Cross subjects
- do maintenance or light construction
- search on the computer for info we need
- clean
We’d like to invite you to volunteer with us for one of these short-term tasks or projects. See contact information below. All volunteers working with the Red Cross for 3 days or more must complete a background check and orientation.
