Youth Programs
The American Junior Red Cross, which first involved youth in our programs, was announced on September 15, 1917, by President Woodrow Wilson.* Today, our activities for youth are many and varied. We encorporate youth of all ages into several of our main 5 programs. In late 2009, we added a part-time Youth Coordinator position to coordinate inclusion of Red Cross programs in area schools that show interest. Youth programs are also featured in the Disaster Tour in June 2010.
